Software Analyst

As a Software Analyst, you will join our Application Development team as a fresher and build a strong foundation in software engineering while supporting the development of enterprise web applications for global customers. This role offers structured training and close mentorship, giving you hands-on exposure to real project work across the frontend, backend, and data layers of modern applications.

You will start by learning the fundamentals of the technology stack and development practices used on live projects, gradually taking on more independent tasks as you grow in confidence and capability.

• Learn the fundamentals of full-stack application development, including frontend, backend, and data layers, under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist in developing and maintaining simple features and components as part of enterprise web applications.
• Support the development of basic user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks, under mentorship.
• Assist in developing and testing simple APIs and integration points between systems.
• Learn to write and execute basic database queries, and assist with data validation and reconciliation activities.
• Participate in unit testing, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for assigned tasks.
• Learn Git-based version control and basic CI/CD workflows as part of the team's development process.
• Learn to use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) responsibly — to speed up simple tasks while checking and understanding the code produced, rather than using it without review.
• Follow guidance on estimating effort for assigned tasks, and work towards completing them on time and with good quality.
• Troubleshoot basic issues under the guidance of senior engineers, and escalate promptly when additional support is needed.
• Build an understanding of the project scope and how the assigned work supports the client's business process.
• Flag risks or blockers in your own work early, and escalate to the right team member.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with team members and, where applicable, clients.
• Maintain basic technical documentation for the tasks you work on.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, training programs, and certifications as part of your learning path.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and QA team members as part of project delivery.

• BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / MCA graduates (freshers, 0–1 year of experience) from Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
• Consistent academic performance with a strong interest in software engineering and problem-solving.

Candidates should have a basic, foundational understanding of:

• Programming fundamentals in at least one language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Basic Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular) and how APIs work.
• Awareness of version control concepts (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Basic awareness of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Prior hands-on project, internship, or academic experience with any of these is a plus, but not required — training will be provided.

Exposure to any of the following is an added advantage, though not expected at entry level:

• Frontend frameworks such as ReactJS.
• Apache Kafka — basic awareness of event streaming concepts.
• Apache Flink — basic awareness of stream/batch data processing concepts.
• Apache Druid — basic awareness of real-time analytics concepts.
• Apache Superset — basic awareness of data visualization/dashboarding tools.
