CA Clarity Integration Adapter
A custom integration adapter that connects CA Clarity PPM to downstream financial and ERP systems, replacing manual data re-entry with automated, auditable sync.
The Challenge
The client ran CA Clarity PPM as its system of record for project and portfolio management, but Clarity had no reliable link to the finance and ERP systems that consumed its cost and resourcing data. Project managers and finance analysts were re-keying the same project data by hand every reporting cycle, which slowed month-end close and left room for transcription errors between systems that were supposed to agree.

Map the data model
Mapped Clarity's project, task, and financial data model against the target ERP and finance schemas to design a clean field-level translation layer.

Build the integration adapter
Built a dedicated integration adapter to move project cost, resourcing, and status data between Clarity and downstream systems on a scheduled and on-demand basis.

Add validation & logging
Added validation and error-handling at each sync step, with structured logging so failed records could be traced and corrected instead of silently dropped.

Ship a monitoring view
Delivered a lightweight monitoring view so the client's IT team could see sync health without opening a ticket.
